Sixth Form students attend Sussex UCAS Discovery Exhibition

Year 12 students at Beacon Academy Sixth Form visited the UCAS Discovery Exhibition at The Brighton Centre on Friday 4th March.

This event provides all students with the opportunity to meet representatives from the vast majority of universities in the country and is also a chance to meet representatives from NHS England, The Royal Navy and the Royal Air Force.

The event features live talks and workshops focusing on a multitude of different industries and progression pathways, as well as tips and advice for applying to Oxford and Cambridge, the secrets to a powerful personal statement, student life, student finance and apprenticeships.

The Sixth Formers enjoyed exploring the exhibition and gaining information and advice about researching the progression routes that are right for them. Later in the school year, Year 12 students will be taking part in a next steps event, supporting them further with their post-18 progression plans.

Visit our Life After Beacon page to find out more about our students’ destinations.
