The Lord Lieutenant of Kent and The Mayor of Tunbridge Wells Officially Open the New Auto 22 Garage in Paddock Wood

Auto22, is a unique new social enterprise which was launched by the national young peoples’ charity Catch22, which specifically helps young people out of difficult situations and supports them to make positive changes in their lives. Auto22 opened its first garage in Gravesend in 2010, offering servicing and repair for all makes and models of cars and light vans. The success of the first garage has enabled the charity to pursue its plans to expand the brand and offer vital opportunities to young people throughout the country.

So what makes Auto22 unique in the motor industry? Auto22 is a commercial operation which, through its business activities and use of all of its profits, provides real work experience, work placements, training and apprenticeships to unemployed young people within the local community who would not otherwise have this opportunity. Many of the young people will have struggled with their education, and Auto22 provides a platform for them to launch their journeys towards becoming fully qualified technicians and give them a career.

Formally HRW The Station Garage, Auto 22 continued to be open for business while we refurbished and rebranded it for its official launch. We look forward to welcoming current and new customers to our Auto22 Paddock Wood garage, The Station Garage, Hop Pocket Lane, Paddock Wood TN12 6DQ.”
