Foresters FC Fundraises for Fegans

Community football club, Tunbridge Wells Foresters, has raised over £700 so far for local charity Fegans which provides children’s counselling and parent support services across Kent, Sussex and the South East.

The grassroots club which has a philosophy of ‘Football for All’ is also helping to raise awareness of the vital work being done by Fegans by prominently featuring their name across its new kits for the next two seasons. Four teams – the Torpedoes, Dynamos, Redstar and Sparta – are now sporting the Fegans logo and strapline ‘Counselling Children, Supporting Parents” on their bright red tops and training jackets.

Foresters’ Director of Football, Adam Downes, asked parents of children in the Foresters U7 side to make a voluntary donation to cover the cost new football kits, explaining that any surplus would be donated to Fegans. He was delighted with generosity of the parents, who have continued to donate via the Foresters Fundraising page long after the kits were purchased.

Foresters are based at Bayham Recreation Ground but as part of opening up their ‘Football for All’ philosophy, they have recently partnered with St Gregory’s school to build and provide additional, brand new, all-weather 3G facilities for their members and the wider community.

Foresters has a growing membership of over 500 players, volunteers and supporters and prides itself on offering a safe learning environment that caters for boys and girls of all abilities, and creates a pathway from reception to retirement whatever the level you wish to play at.
