CODA Chamber Recitals Move to Rose Hill School Theatre

Concerts Originaux Des Amis (CODA), a registered charity founded in 1983 and which has been presenting chamber music recitals in and around Tunbridge Wells for more than 15 years, has moved its recital venue from Kent College Pembury to Rose Hill School’s Arts Centre Theatre in Coniston Avenue, Tunbridge Wells and its recital times to 3 pm on Sunday afternoons.
This significant change will enable those who wish to avoid going out at night to hear some really fine solo piano and group chamber music without recourse to after-dark travel.
CODA started in Tatsfield in 1983 with recitals in the home of its founder, Arthur Boyd, and when he and his wife Valerie moved to Tunbridge Wells in 1991. With the acquisition of its new grand piano CODA was able to move to the Organ Room at Kent College Pembury, its home for the last 15 years.
Arthur and Valerie are looking forward to a new season at Rose Hill School on the 7th of June when they hope that new members will be joining them at CODA for a piano recital by international concert pianist James Lisney.
CODA is clearly well-established, with a Royal College of Music Professor of Piano, Nigel Clayton, as its enthusiastic President (Nigel, incidentally, gave CODA’s first recital in early 1983) and Arthur Boyd is seeking someone to assist and succeed him as this lively Charity’s Honorary Secretary. Anyone who has a feeling that they might be able to help should kindly ring Arthur on 01892 527710 for further details.

Particulars of CODA, its programmes and details of ticket pricings and availability can be found on our website: www.codatw.co.uk.
